Here at Central we offer Christian education for all ages; nursery, school age, middle school and high school. Our Sunday School Program meets on Sunday mornings following the Children’s Sermon.
Family Gathering Sunday
On the first Sunday of every month, all our Sunday School class members and their families gather for a Pot Luck Breakfast at 8:45 am in the Social Hall. The entire church family – and visitors! – are welcome for this time of fellowship.
Throughout the year, we offer additional educational opportunities for learners of all ages. Adult Forums highlight current topics of interest or feature guest speakers. Bible or book studies appropriate for the season deepen our understanding of discipleship. Other classes enrich our knowledge of our Christian faith and how we practice that faith.
The nursery is available for infants and toddlers every Sunday morning during Sunday School so that parents may participate in Adult Education. Childcare is also available during the worship service. The nursery is staffed by an experienced childcare worker who is assisted by volunteers from the congregation.
Vacation Bible School
Every summer, Central Presbyterian participates in the Geneseo-area ecumenical Vacation Bible School. This year, a one-day event was held on the afternoon of August 1st. Children from all over the area gather to share the joy of Jesus through music, crafts, stories, fellowship, and food! Classes are available for Pre-K to 5th grade. Many of our older youth participate in the program volunteering as helpers!
We want our college students to feel that they are an important part of our church family here at Central. We welcome students from our local college, SUNY Geneseo, to participate in Sunday School and to worship with us.
